Best used cars under 3 lakh in 2023

As the prices of new cars has been increasing rapidly, the demand of getting used car in the market has also increased. Whether it be someone who wants to learn to drive or someone who wants something economical to do daily city chores, a small used car makes much more sense.

So before diving into the topic, there is some criteria that I have come up with to select the cars and this is as follows

1. The cars must not be more than 10 years old.

2. The cars should be easily available in the used car market.

3. And there should be ample service network of the car maker in India.

1. Hyundai Eon

2. Maruti Suzuki Alto

This is a great little car with good looking interior and good space to easily accommodate 4 average sized adults in the car. It comes with both 800cc and 1.0L engine and among the 2 you should definitely go for 1.0L engine and if feels much more relaxed at higher speeds and peppy in city traffic, also Hyundai are known for there refined engines and this one is no exception.

A reliable easy to maintain car is the alto. Like eon it also comes with with 800cc and 1.0L engines and again I would recommend you to go for 1.0L engine because of more power and the 1.0L one looks better than 800cc(photo is of 800cc Alto). As compared to Hyundai eon it's engine it is more peppy but less refined and also the interiors are not as good as Hyundai eon but unlike eon whose looks are a bit too much, the Alto looks more easy on the eyes. Alto when compared to Eon has less interior space especially on the back seat. As for the spares both car spares are easily available but Maruti Suzuki is known for the affordability of it.

3. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

You might be able to find this an older model(2013-2014) for under 3lakh. It is also a good car with good space inside especially for tall people. It is one of the easiest car to learn to drive because of it's boxy design which helps to easily estimate the corners of the car. Also it came with a 1.0L engine so is quite peppy and reliable . The only downside with this car is it is not as stable as the other two mentioned above because of it's tallboy design. So if you are looking for a car with good space but drive sedately so this is the car for you.

4. Hyundai i10

The last but not the least is the Hyundai i10 and is probably the best car that you can buy under 3lakh with good quality interiors like all Hyundai and good space like wagon R . It is also a tallboy design but is relatively more stable than wagon R but not as stable as eon or alto in the corners. The 1.2L kappa engine is powerful enough not only in city but also on highways. Overall it is the most complete car among the list.
